Preparing for the Interview

We want you to be successful in whatever career you choose. And knowing what to expect in a job interview and how to prepare are critical factors in achieving success.

Frequently Asked Interview Questions

If you’ve worked for the same company for some time, your interview skills might be a bit rusty. That’s why we encourage you to take some time to review the following common interview questions:

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • What are the most satisfying aspects of your current job?
  • What is the greatest frustration or disappointment in your present job? Why?
  • Why are you considering Old National Bank?
  • If I were to call your current supervisor, what would I hear about your strengths? Your weaknesses?
  • What would your supervisor say about your attendance?
  • Describe your view of an ideal supervisor.
  • What is the most difficult problem you've handled in the work place and how did you solve it? In thinking back, would you have handled it differently?
  • If I were to ask someone to describe you during a time of stress, what would they say?
  • Describe your "ideal" job (tasks, responsibilities, environment).
  • Give me an example of an important goal that you have set in the past and tell me about your success in achieving it.
  • What are your career goals for the next 1-3 years? 5-10 years?
  • How will working for our company help you reach your goals?
  • Do you see yourself as a leader or a follower? Why?
