Bank employee interview questions

Our Hiring Process

Getting Started: What type of position are you interested in? When and where are you available to work? Search our job listings and find the right position for you. We recommend you have a copy of your resume to assist you in completing your application. You will have approximately 45 minutes to complete your profile and an additional 45 minutes to complete your application.

After You Apply: You will receive an e-mail confirmation. If your qualifications are a best match for that position, we will contact you to discuss your background and/or to schedule an interview. You will also be notified by e-mail if you did not qualify or if the position was filled/cancelled.

Interviewing: Some interviews are held over the phone, in person, or both and you may meet with both Human Resources and the Hiring Manager. See below for some tips to prepare for the interview.

Post Interview: If selected for hire, you will be contacted by an HR Representative to discuss the details of the offer followed by an offer in writing. All offers are contingent upon passing Valley's pre-employment checks (Employment Verification, Credit, Criminal and Drug Screening).

Interview Tips

Be Prepared: Research the company and prepare a list of questions you may want to ask. Be prepared to answer questions regarding your background and be able to give examples of your accomplishments.

First Impressions: Dress appropriately and professionally for the interview. Be sure that you arrive on time (give yourself extra time in the event of traffic, etc).

Good Etiquette: Maintain eye contact with your interviewer to express confidence. When speaking, be polite and professional and always speak in a clear and concise manner. Express your appreciation for the interviewer's time.
